EPO has available several
mouse and human tumour models with acquired drug-resistance.
Drug-resistance was induced by in vitro or in vivo treatment of tumours
with the corresponding agent or by transduction of corresponding genes.
The models are suitable for in vitro or in vivo investigations
concerning the potential of a novel compound to overcome resistance
(sensitizer) or to examine a drug for cross-resistance. The models are
characterised for mechanisms of resistance (multidrug resistance,
hormonal).
